Since homeworking occurs in the private sphere it is often “invisible”. WebMost home-based workers not only provide their own workplace, but also pay for the equipment and electricity they use. These business costs plus their irregular and low pay means that most home-based workers lack the ability to save and to invest in improved technology, working capital or training.
